Inside the ZIP file you'll find a PSD file (Photoshop). When you open it you'll see layers for the CD labels formats.

Image

First of all, if you can't see the Layers window like above, click F7 and it will show up. Then click the little eye, red circle, so you'll make the instructions disappears.

Image

As you can see, other three "eyes" are above it in the same screen, the other red circle, each one is a different layer, and depending on your needs, you'll use only one of them, or all three, it's up to you...

Just make sure that whatever you add is below the three Label layers, which are the top three. To do that, just click and drag it to the position you need, in the layers little window.

photoshop is way over my head. I'm grateful for friends who know what they're doing, because I'm lost with all the little buttons.

really if you wanted you could print it on any paper, because its not going to be played, its just decoration. So it doesn't need to be super flat like a sticker cos it doesn't have to fit into a disc drive or whatever.

Ok now I've got the most stupid question......

I downloaded Photoshop the other day, I've had it before and honestly, I don't get on with it, but I downloaded the images from Masterpiece, very grateful for them, but when I open them I can't get the picture I want to use open at the same time!

It's doing my head in, can anyone help me? if it comes to it I'll just make it using Paint lol and print it using my cd burner programme

Just click FILE -> OPEN and browse for the picture you wanna open. You'll have two windows (or more, depending on how many pictures you open) inside Photoshop main window.

One more tip...

To drag a picture inside another one, like you need to do to add a picture to the CD template I posted, the easier and most understandable way is to drag layers.

Click the image you wanna copy (if you altered anything, press CTRL + SHIFT + E, so you'll merge all possible editing layers into one)... lets make a detour and check the following example. I added a text, so there are two layers there: a background, which is the picture I opened, and the text I added. Pressing CTRL + SHIFT + E will merge them both into the background.

Two layers...
Image

CTRL + SHIFT + E = Only one layer...
Image

Now that you've got it all in one layer in the picture you will add to the CD template, put the template and the image side by side. You can freely resize the windows in your work area, so you'll be fine. Photoshop screen may be a little different in each computer, so don't be scared if your screen doesn't look like mine exactly.

Images side by side...
Image

Make sure the picture is selected (just click the title of it and you'll see its layers on the layers window, so there's no mistake). Click in the layers window on your background and just drag it to the CD template window.

Dragged layer into the CD template.
Image

Now that you've got your picture there, just resize it so it fits the template. To do that, make sure the new layer into the template is selected like in the following picture. Click CTRL + T and you'll see the image gets little squares on its corners. Hold SHIFT and stretch the image to fit your CD template. If you don't hold SHIFT while stretching, the image will loose its ratio and might look all blurry/stretched/UGLY.

Like mentioned, new layer is selected, pressed CTRL + T, check how the image gets little squares on its corners. ;)
Image

Once you're done stretching, click ENTER and you're done. Click FILE -> SAVE AS and save it as JPG/BMP/PSD or whatever suits you.

If you have WinRAR installed, just double-click the file to open and once you see it open, double-click what's inside of it and Photoshop will automatically load the file.
