Terry Wogan may leave! Oh well!

But honest to GOD, the British entry was PURE SHIT!! :hunny: All the other countries seem to have singers that were larger than life on stage. Eurovision needs that, larger than life persona!!

It is not just the east winning, what about Finland? If you have the song, you will get the vote!

The truth is, France, Germany and UK have been having some really bad singers!

From last night I liked:

Serbia
Norway
Albania
Israel
Armenia
Ukraine
Portugal(GOD SHE WAS GREAT).

I wonder why I didn't pick France or Germany! Well, they were crap! :death:

But it is true Russia only won, well thanks to Ukraine, Latvia and including all those East countries! :D

I'm always amaized how bad the entries have been from UK every year, when their own acts and music overall in UK is AMAIZING as it's best! It must be that it's considered as career suicide in there.

Javine was awsome, but her trashy outfit and her rough vocals killed the potential.

Oh c'mon people, Latvia and the rest ex Soviet Union countries have been giving 12 points to Russia for years and how come we didn't win before? Yes, exactly, because some other countries also gave us some points. I think after the first try he gained tons of fans around the world and that is how he won. Deal with it. He has a lot of fans, unfortunately...

I think with bad song, nobody would win only with support from neighbour countries. Or am I wrong?

someone here is really jealous, everytime i see the same situation, how political this contest is, but don't forget not only Russian neighbours voted for Bilan, absolutely the same situation is with other europian countries, - every country supported their neighbours. And yes if someone say that we won cuz of our neighbours, so why we weren't #1 everytime - it's really ridiculous!

Russia will always be in the highest spots, you can't deny it. Because yes, all of the ex-USSR countries will vote for Russia. And it means a lot. But it doesn't really matter anyway, who cares about that contest today ?
As far as I'm concerned, Belgium never gives points to France, UK or something. So no, the "neighbours rule" isn't true at all.

France said a couple of years ago that it's their intention to send crappy candidates because they certainly don't want to do this contest the year after. It's a lot of work and money. Plus, it doesn't bring anything to France because nobody watches it.

I think the meaning of that contest is really different for each country. It seems important to Eastern countries (maybe they're proud to win something over the Western countries ?) but it's seen as a complete joke here. Especially because we actually can't win today.

What's the point of watching a competition if your team can't have a chance to win ?

But I hate jealous people, so good job Russia! Your song was bloody awful but I loved the guy, so I guess I'm happy :D

Kawai, Belgium will vote for Turkey and Portugal! Why? Because the immigrants will vote for their own countries! Same goes with switzerland and france voting for Portugal.

You're right Marco. But immigrants represents 20% of the Belgian population. So basically we shouldn't give 12 points to Turkey, but to France or some neighbours countries.
Or maybe only immigrants watch it lol :p (and vote).

Well yeah, why do you think Belgium and Germany always give 12 points to Turkey ?

Actually, there are so many Turkish people accross Europe that Turkey always gets a good position :p

Well, Belgium knows about that, and only immigrants vote for their countries (meaning : nobody else votes for their favourite song). But it's normal tbh, I'd do the same.
