They never wrote their own music as far as I'm aware, so I don't see the point of this reunion. Nicole could gather any other 4 girls and perform as PCD.

She really couldn't though and that's the reason PCD 3.0 and 4.0 didn't work out. As much as people write off the others Dolls. They have a purpose for being there. They aren't just space holders. The general public likes it better when they are all together verses apart. Their second album proves that alone. Her Name Is Nicole got shelved and the singles from it went nowhere. As soon as she got back with the Dolls for DD they were selling Millions of records again.

To the public, it could be true. But then again, the 90% of the public isn't going to buy PCD's music anyway. Just kidding.

I think the Nicole's fans had the illusion that PCD fans = Nicole fans given PCD was basically Nicole.
But I think how Nicole's solo music has tanked over and over again has proven the fact that Nicole isn't all that.
Either the music buyers has got tired of her (and her crap music) or PCD do have fans that are fans because the other members in the group bar Nicole (like me).

I couldn't care less about a PCD reunion. Their 1st album was amazing, but their sophomore album was pretty subpar. Nicole seemed to never give 2 fucks about the group so why should I? She used the group as a stepping stone and fell flat on her face. Deserves her right for trying to leave after 1 album. She sang 80% of all the vocals so I don't understand why she had such a urge to go solo when she practically already was.

BTW how the hell wasn't Magic a single?

At least she's finally being a little honest about her time in the Dolls and how isolated she made herself. Although I agree PCD while an Amazing group were NOTHING like The Spice Girls.

Its strange that the Pussycat Dolls don't even have a greatest hits out. If they do reunite they should release one with a new single to promote it.

Releasing a greatest hits with a few new songs would be a good way to remind people of their past "hits". Something like this:

1. Don't Cha
2. Stickwitu
3. Beep
4. Buttons
5. I Don't Need A Man
6. Wait A Minute
7. When I Grow Up
8. Whatcha Think About That
9. I Hate This Part
10. Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)
11. Bottle Pop
12. Hush Hush
13. New Song [1st single]
14. New Song [2nd single]
15. New Song
16. New Song

They've only had two albums!

Including Bottle Pop (which was not even released in most of the world) , Hush; Hush and Whatcha Think About That screams desperation to fill up some space. Why not just also include Sway, Out of This Club and Top Of The World on there too?

If we go by their proper and recognizable hits, their GH should include:

Don'tcha
StickwitU
Beep
Buttons
When I Grow Up
I Hate This Part
Jai Ho

... not really enough to sell a greatest hits on. If they do return it should be with a new album, though I doubt it'll do well. Even Doll Domination wasn't that successful.

All Saints released a pretty decent one imo after only two albums and less than ten hits. Other greatest hits have had "filler" in them so I don't see what the big deal is if they add those songs you feel are beneath being included. A greatest hits and a greatest hits tour to accompany it has more chance of doing well for them than a new album.

Not that I care either way I am not gagging for anything from them I just think its strange that such a big girlband doesn't have a greatest hits available. I am still sad that Liberty X and B*witched never had one either (yeah I know B*witched were low on the singles also)

The thing is, I can't see them doing a properly promoted "greatest hits" collection for them considering the lack of songs. I could maybe see their (former?) record label putting out a cheap compilation to cash in on a potential reunion, but I wouldn't want a proper one as it would just make them look foolish and less successful. Better for them to go ahead with new music if they're going to bother at all.

With that said, I'm convinced that most record labels will stop to bother with greatest hits in the future because of the nature of digital downloads and everyone being able to put together their own playlists on streaming sites.

I think a greatest hits with a few new songs would work well for them. They released 13 singles before calling it quits. It's not like anyone buying it will care if the song was big here or Australia etc. The fans will buy it for nostalgia and the new tracks. Same reason we all bought the Spice Girls greatest hits when most of us already still had the albums.

14. New Song [2nd single]
15. New Song
16. New Song

16 songs GH will be too ambitious for a global release, more for a Japan exclusive release.
I will think they release like a 13-track GH (with selected singles catered to certain markets).

Something like this:

1. Don't Cha
2. Stickwitu (R&B Remix)* / Stickwitu**
3. Beep
4. Buttons
5. I Don't Need A Man
6. Wait A Minute
7. When I Grow Up
8. I Hate This Part
9. Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)
10. Hush Hush; Hush Hush
11. New Song***
12. New Song***
13. Sway* / Whatcha Think About That** / Bottle Pop**** (Bonus Track)

* = Songs for the US release (these songs have more impact in the US market).
** = Songs for the EU/WW release (these songs have more impact in the UK/WW market).
*** = Rejected Nicole's tracks to be re-recorded as a group song (which means minimal work)
**** = Song for AUS/NZ release

Hell would literally freeze over before Melody, Carmit or Jessica recorded anymore of Nicoles's rejects. I think out of all of them they have the biggest beefs with her because the were the other singers. Plus their is a reason why a lot of Nic's music never comes out.

I think as tommie has pointed out, they don't have a sizable and recognizable hits to fill up the album with singles that were barely hits.
I mean of course, ideally, it's good to include all the singles from a fan's perspective and economical sense.
But I think sometimes, labels are just too cheapskate, so they will do selective tracks for certain markets where the singles do rather well in it.
Maybe, "ambitious" is the wrong word, but I am just think realistically, a 13-track album is more likely to be the kind of release they will be having instead (if they are to release one).

But why 13 tracks? Seems like a random number to arrive at. A Pussycat Dolls gh would have to be padded out. Otherwise, the U.S. gh would be

1. Don't Cha
2. Stickwitu
3. Beep
4. Buttons
5. Wait A Minute
6. When I Grow Up
7. I Hate This Part
8. Hush Hush
9. New Song
10. New Song

That looks pretty pitiful for a greatest hits collection.

^i wonder if she actually went "solo" or nicole made them say she did because she didn't want to share the stage with anyone new. that and they also would have had let her sing on the songs as well.
