Thing is, her last album seemed very directed by someone other than herself.

I'm sure she had some creative input but overall I doubt she was initiating the drastic style-change she had. She'd done so well with her initial sound earlier, why would she change that?

Drastic style-change? It's not that different from her previous albums, y'know.

Maybe, but "Want" was slammed because of the video (Natalie taking her clothes off, something she hadn't done before) and the sound was very electro(ish)-pop, which is not what she used to do.

Anyone else miss her? she is supposed to have a new album out later this year but not heard much else and she hasn't updated her twitter account since May.

Listened to the entire Left of the Middle album last night, still amazes me :)

Both the video and the song are amazing. Though I never got the full meaning of the lyrics. Does anyone know the story behind it?

My artist topic list isn't being used, is it? :( There's a big thread for Natalie already.

That's cause people go to find Natalie where the letter N is. And when they don't see it there they assume there's no topic about her. I know the way it's done now is more correct and how most forums do it but I'm pretty sure most people would prefer it to be the other way around. It's much easier I think

I dunno, I've always seen the system used where the surname is what is important when sorting alphabetically, that's why I did it that way. :( Anyway, members using that topic definitely need to use "Ctrl + F" and then type the artist they're looking for, as that's a lot quicker than scrolling down the list!

Ooooh tough!

1. Beauty On The Fire
2. When You're Sleeping (Counting Down The Days album track)
3. Torn
4. Smoke
5. Glorious

Her third album, Counting Down The Days, is brilliant, my favourite of hers. I remember it getting to Number 1 and I was so happy!

I read that she was offered the chance of a tour or a third single from CDTD (her record company could only afford one or the other) and she chose the tour which later fell through. Shame as I think a third single could have helped it sell alot more after the disapointing chart position of CDTD (the single)

I think I heard that too!

I think I would have chosen to tour too tbh. I think a tour would ultimately lead to more money etc...
I remember seeing a poster for the tour, but I didn't know that it didn't go ahead!

I think she did some dates but the actual full length tour never happened as far as I'm aware.
