I actually think her album is easily the strongest solo album out of the Girls Aloud bunch... (to be fair I've never listened to Cheryl's third or fourth album nor Kimberly's either...) It was a really good album.

There's literally no denying that Nicola has the best solo album of them all, it's not up for debate.

Very racy ;o

I don't think Nadine's album was all that bad, just not all that brilliant either. Hoping for more from album #2! It's a bit of a shame both her & Nicola are taking so long to follow up. Is a Nicola 2nd album on the horizon? What has she actually been doing for the past 2 years?

NICOLA ROBERTS SAYS THERE WON’T BE A SECOND SOLO ALBUM (YET)

BRACE YOURSELVES FOR FURY: ‘Yo-Yo’ hitmaker Nicola Roberts has said she’s too busy writing for other people to work on her second solo album.

“At the minute I’ve just been taking time to write for other artists,” she mused to Radio 1 Newsbeat (as quoted here), as calm as you like.

As if nothing was the matter.

As if her words would not break a million hearts.

As if she and she alone did not hold in her hands the hopes and dreams of a generation.

She continued: “It’s been four years since ‘Cinderella’s Eyes’ [YES WE KNOW THAT] and in that four years I’ve changed quite a lot as a person.”

“I think you need time to figure out the sounds you are inspired by [MOST PEOPLE MANAGE IT IN 18 MONTHS LET’S BE REAL HERE] and I’ve got some really exciting artists cutting some songs that I’m really excited by.”

Great, cheers everyone.

Nicola also said there wasn’t going to be a Girls Aloud reunion anytime soon (which is just as well because everyone’s really getting into that Sarah Harding comeback), but she did add that she was a big fan of Little Mix, so that’s something.

writing for other artists is a lame excuse. She would get the same royalties if she released those songs on her own. The difference is that those artists probably sell more than her. If she was selling ok she wouldn't give those songs to other people so it's hardly a "not having time to write my own songs" situation.

She probably gets contracted first and then gets royalties. It doesnt sound like she is writing those songs out of her own will.

She was probably approached by a few artists to write for them. It is a totally different ball game. Those are not her songs.

^But if she were selling hot cakes with her own music, she wouldn't be wasting time in writing for others. So the excuse of being busy to write her own music is lame. She doesn't want to release her music cause writing for others gives her a bigger income, not because of a lack of time.

She had 2 songs on Ten from Girls Aloud
About 3 songs on Cheryl's Only Human album

Im glad there wont be another album, she's not the most talented and she has no personality. Remember those awful fan encounters on pop justice? Yikes

Every experience I've had with Nicola has been extremely positive and the fact that someone can say she's not talented/has no personality means they clearly have no clue what they're talking about. #troll
