Very excited!!! Hope their new material is good. I loved their last single (?) 'It's all over but the crying'.

one of the iconic bands of the 90's and to make things better The Cranberries are releasing an album this year too!
Overpowered shows that Murphy has lost none of her ability to turn out addictive pop songs with a lovely synthetic sheen.Perhaps only Gwen Stefani continues to follow glam pop’s imperatives towards excessive and absurd self-decoration with the same dedication. But Stefani has yet to produce a song as memorable as ‘Overpowered’, ‘The Time is Now’ or ‘Sing it Back’

It was included on the greatest hits but was never released as a single. the last single was 'Tell Me Where It Hurts' back in 2007 to promote the greatest hits.

She's a right idiot in my opinion, but I loved some of their music. 'Push It' is still such a fierce track!

They just tweeted this today:

@garbage Hi everybody, just to be clear- we have about three more weeks of recording left to finish the album- then mixing, then mastering, etc...

@garbage And we can't wait for you to hear it! But it's still going to take some time... We'll tell you what's going on right here...

They have some great music but I hated the fact that Shirley dissed the Spice Girls back in the 90's :@

I hope it's like their first record. Their last one was atrocious. They should go back to the sound of "Garbage" and "V2.0". "Beautiful Garbage" got old really fast.

I feel the complete opposite regarding their last one Bleed Like Me. i think it was one of their strongest albums. It was also very successful on the charts when it first came out.

This is one of my favs from that album

Fuck the Spice Girls! LMFAO

I seriously cannot wait for the new Garbage record! They are one of my all-time favourite bands. The production on each of their records is amazing - I love how they take complete control of everything when they make an album. It really is labour of love with them.

I really liked their last offering (which featured one of their most awesome songs ever - Bad Boyfriend.) I've been following Shirley's blogs for ages now and am really excited by statements like "its the loudest noise we've ever made" and "today we banned all traditional instruments and just made noise" - can't wait to see what they come up with!

I just hope they can stay friends long enough to see the tour through this time. They have an awfully annoying habit of pissing each other off lol

I wasn't a big fan of their last record, enjoyed the singles, and "Metal Heart" was a favorite. Version 2.0 has always been my favorite!

Hmmm I'd go:

01. Bleed Like Me
02. Version 2.0
03. Garbage
04. beautifulgarbage

Version 2.0 was my favourite for years. I've listened to it hundreds on times. But the production is very similar throughout the album, so BLM overtook it for its crisper sound.
