woohooo!!

She ended her succesful residency at Ceaser's Palace last December and the live registration of this show will be released this week on CD/DVD and... BLURAY! :)

In an interview she stated that she's already in the process of experimenting with different producers. I expect a bit of a different sound on the new album, now that she is divorced from her former husband/ producer.

It's most likely that the announcement she will do next Wednesday will be about a new tour and not about the new album. She indicated that the album will not be released this year, but most likely next year. Besides, it is quite easy to adapt her Vegas show to an 'on the road show'.

Since Shania's been "gone" for so long a world tour with her greatest hits would be the best thing. People need to be reminded again of who she is.

Not saying everyone's forgotten about Shania - but her latest album release was in 2002.

Talk about taking your time with it. I feel like she's been talking about this album for years now. Up till now it has all been about "finding her voice." I'm usually not an impatient person, but good grief it's been 13 years!

Well, if y'all are hankering for new Shania music, make sure to track down all the misc stuff she's done. Not as good, but something. Endless Love with Lionel Richie, Today Is Your Day, Shoes from Desperate Housewives (available in both country and pop), Amneris' Letter from Aida, etc. Also, for those of you who haven't heard The Complete Limelight Sessions (demo album), it reminds me of 80's Madonna. There's also THREE versions of the Up album, and two of Come On Over.

^ There's the first version with country versions and then the international version with poppier productions. However, they're not that different.

The worldwide release of Come On Over (with the greyish cover) was remixed with a more dance-pop feel. It's also gapless, and the track listing was rearranged from the original. The biggest differences are on That Don't Impress Me Much and From This Moment On, which are the single mixes. If You Wanna Touch Her is also quite different.

I'm heartbroken. :(

Shania revealed her "big plans" today. She's going on an American/Canadian tour. She said it will be her last tour ever.

Is this it? Will I never get to see the hero of my life? :'(

I'm also hearing rumours that she wants to release her album on her 50th birthday, this August. Interesting strategy, but I suppose a farewell tour is great publicity to launch it on, since she still seems interested in music, but not up for touring for much longer.

Why doesn't she want to tour anymore?

Anyway, let's hope this won't be her last album, too :'(

Well I suppose as long as she keeps bringing new music out. I'll be happy.

I finally got the CD and DVD (and poster and t-shirt :death: )

I am loving the DVD! It's so much fun to watch that I had to stand up the whole time. :D Oh, and the live version of "Today Is Your Day" had me in tears...

Blonde hair, new tour, new album, what does everyone think about it so far? So far, the tour seems to be an old-fashioned rock show. No dancers, leather, and a rockier sound. I'm of two minds on the blonde hair. Makes her look not as old, but now she's got that cougar look going on. As for the new album, she seems to be very intent on continuing music for a long time. I'm interested to hear her sound without Mutt. (and Today Is Your Day sounds so much better live than the studio version we got)

Hard to tell if it's a movie theater or recording studio, but is she working with Adele?

Thank you, that makes more sense. Looked like a show, but it also looked like there was a soundboard there, which there may well have been.
