I just think the fans deserve more of an explanation on why its taking so long.

Their album will be released right after the Spice Girls anniversary. The 25th one!

'Flatline' was, is and remains one of the best singles released from any ind of Sugababes formation. It's a shame they handled it so badly and filmed such a terrible video for it.

I actually really love the video, I think it goes really well with the song and it is quite arty. For me, it was the perfect fit for the new group's aesthetics and sound.

I do hope they get their shit together soon. Their music is much needed in the midst of the current crap that is around.,..

What songs came out in good quality from the MKS project? I only have "Flatline" and an acoustic version of "Caught In A Moment" they did for a Youtube channel which was just incredible.

I remember when MKS came out with the accepella with BOYS.
Everyone was excited, they should of released Flatline as a buzz promotion track and then with-in the month release BOYS as a single.

Now flatline is a good song just not strong enough for single material and their other new material/past hits.
Which is why i believe the label knew that flatline wouldnt be that big, its not just the promotion side of things so they stopped promoting it.
Well MKS got a great holiday out of flatline.

If only BOYS was the first single then they may would of have an album out by now.

Boys was certainly more commercial sounding than Flatline even though Flatline imo is a great song.

I think they'd have struggled to do well no matter what single they first out out though.

I still love 'Flatline'! <3

We are approaching 2 years since its release, and it's 3 years since "Mutya Keisha Siobhan" was confirmed to be a thing. All that time and it's resulted in 1 single release so far. :dizzy;

How people on popjustice have heard the full studio version of BOYS, I'll never know.

The group have been so quiet about it all, even their management haven't said anything about it. It looks as though, at a certain point, they're going to announce they're back again and drop music. Keisha wrote about having an album that had no start/stop campaign and with no promo, surely that's the way they're planning to go about it.

Yes BOYS was alot more commercial sound and more of a sound that a fan base was used to.
To me it was like a 2.0 era song. But better with the original line up.
For sure the label would of promote it to the max.

They missed the opportunity. I think they should record a brand new album if they're still interested in releasing anything. "Flatline" sounded like something that would be a mediocore underground hit in the 80s in some freestyle clubs etc. It has that budget-niche feeling to it.

They could also become an indie group and build their success from sctrach. They can't expect to gain the Suga fans back after so many "struggles".

When they first signed to polydor there were news they signed a £1 million deal.
I don't know how it works, so now that their dropped /locked into their contract does that mean polydor will now need to pay up. Or do polydor pay £1 million when contract expires? Can someone explain how it works.

It is. They had so much potential. I've been listening to a lot of their live audio of new tracks like Today and No Regrets lately. They really did have some amazing songs lined up.

The 1m is merely what the record company will put forward (if everything goes as they want which will be written into the contract too) for promotion and production etc.

Looks like things are still happening behind the scene with the name. When you look at the status so much updates has happened since April 2015.

^ but what can she do with the name? NOBODY cares about the sugababes right now and the nostalgia factor doesn't really kick in until 14 or 15 years after their peak. this is why take that had such a successful comeback and the spice girls olympic performance was better received (imo) than their actual 2007/2008 reunion tour.

i would say they were at their peak around 2003-2007, which means they would probably have their best shot at a comeback around 2017-2021. AND even if they did it would either HAVE TO be Mutya, Keisha, Heidi OR Keisha, Heidi, Amelle since those were the most successful versions of the sugababes to maximize on the whole nostalgia thing. no one cares about siobhan or jade
