Guys the show wasn't short for Melanie's standards. I think other than sporty's forty and live hits, the rest were about the same in length.
I wouldn't mind a couple more old, revamped songs. Like maybe one from each album ;
Home would fit perfectly between our history and blame. Let's love could be updated and is a positive funny song. (Obviously I found my old reason cd)
I wouldn't mind some BI song although I haven't listen to this album for more than a couple of years.

Just experienced the meet and greets and it was  I was nervous but i needn't have been, she immediately put me at ease. So lovely! Had a nice brief chat, I mentioned that I last saw her at Live Hits DVD and she mentioned about how hot that venue was (It really was ha, I remembered).

Lovely to meet Angie here too!

If anyone else is here at VIP and you recognise me, feel free to come up and say hi... I'm very shy but I'll say hi!

You were at Birmingham?? I did not know or k would have said hello

I really liked the show I think the tracks work better live than on record (although I do like the record too). ITTY remix was amazing Also it's a crime Think about it wasn't a bigger hit such a fantastic track

Well honestly one of the best gigs I've been to.
Can't believe I'd never seen Melanie live before now. Will be making sure I go to as many as I can now.

Loved all the arrangements to the tracks and was amazing to witness Version of Me in full live.
And she is such a lovely lady to meet. Totally not big headed and loves to meet all the fans. I said I was wearing a Version of Me themed shirt and she liked it. Also mentioned that it was my first show of hers and can't wait for the show, and she joked that the show of course was fantastic!

I want her to be my friend!!

Just watched the YouTube stream. The sound is quite bad. It's like there's no atmosphere. It was much better in person. She was great. I wouldn't judge it too much on that

I agree. It was so much better seeing her live in person.

I was also thinking about that the other day while seeing the streaming. The mix was not the best and it gave it the impresion of a lack of atmosphere, like if Melanie was just singing without any interest. I'm gald to know that the live was better.

Which are the other 3?

HICA, WYG, NBS & FDOML
I thought some would have been for London, but she did not change the set list.
Anyway, will see for the European tour.

London was a fantastic night :music: i danced from the beginning to the end. :music:

You guys are making me jealous, specially after someone mentioned she's in talks to come here to Brazil. I'd go nuts if that happened, I'm already pumped!

The setlist seems like she has given up completely on any casual fans or anyone outside her absolute core fanbase was going to attend the tour. I guess it is nice for the fans to hear the album live but if it was your first Mel C gig or were dragged along by a friend I'm sure a couple of extra well known songs would have been a relief.

I stood at the back in Manchester and saw a few people walk out half way through - and a lot of the crowd looked bored stiff until something they knew came on. Definitely not one for the casuals, but at this point, if you've got the same bunch of loons buying tickets who will come regardless of what you sing, why not experiment?

And what super well known songs would that be? Most of the singles from her older albums that she didn't do weren't really hits. She did the ones that were really big hits that casual fans would know.
Unless you want her to sing more Spice Girls songs. And then people would complain about her singing them without the other girls and turning down the reunion.
She's not like Madonna or Kylie who have a huge number of big radio hit singles that the general public knows.

In a way she's lucky that she hasn't had so many big hits. It frees her up to do her new music. A lot of older artists are prisoners of their hits. They feel they have to do the same songs tour after tour or people will be mad. So they get on stage singing the old hits begrudgingly with not much enthusiasm.
I would rather see someone singing new material they are excited and passionate about, then an artist doing another tired greatest hits show going through the motions.

To be fair I was stood by the back in Birmingham and I saw quite alot of older people (50's type of age) there who didn't know the new stuff but were bopping their heads along and enjoying the songs, so I guess it depends what you go for and what music you're into

The only song she really left out that was a big hit is When You're Gone otherwise she did
1. Northern Star
2. Never be the same again
3. I turn to you

Those are her signature hits alongside When You're Gone (which I find very bizarre she left out). Then Think about it is a fan favourite and, everyone seemed to really enjoy that one. The only other song she really could have done perhaps that might have been known is Loving You as it's her most recent hit. The rest were not massive and are not likely to be well remembered amongst non-fans/casual fans...
