I chose NSAIG because it proved that she's not worst singer out of them.

Not such an innocent girl was the wrong single. The album was very good overall and it is still listenable. Unfortunately the media hated her at the time. She could have released Adele's album, and they'd still bash it, but NSAIG was the wrong first single choice. It's my least favorite song on the album.

Has she ever performed either of the songs live? I've only found a small 7:48 minutes video from a set she did back in 2001. Do we know if she sang more or have full footage from these sets? I still have some pages from ok magazine from a shoot she did with band. Did they semi tour?

/\ It's from her C3 pop chat from February 2002, not 2000, the date under the video's description is wrong. Emma's done it too.

IMO there's no competition...LYHG/This Groove. It's an absolute shame that the album was scrapped after Telstar went under.

NSAIG. I Wish and Like That are better songs...but to me NSAIG always sounded like the obvious first single of the album. Catchy chorus. Good vocals from V. I've always thought the perception of it was tainted by how much she lost to Kylie in their chart battle. The number of solo Spice releases was overwhelming in 2001. I think a few singles had to suffer.

This Groove is fine. I think Damon's tracks sometimes played to the worst qualities of V's voice (Valentines Day and That Dude are fingernails on a chalkboard for me), but This Groove suited her.

I know I'm alone on this...but I've never gotten Let Your Head Go. I've always found it an awkward song...and the clear weakest of the OYE sessions. She had top shelf writers/producers on the rest of OYE. I think its telling the team behind Let Your Head Go didn't appear to go on to do much else of significance. It appears to be the most high profile release they ever had.

I always thought she rigged the double single by pairing the best Damon Dash track...with the worst of OYE...hoping to steer the album in the direction she wanted it to go. But. I guess that's just me...

The album wasn't scrapped because of Telstar going bankrupt. After Telstar was closed down, Victoria continued recording music via 19 Productions (and that included the My Love Is For Real sessions). Telstar went bankrupt in April 2004, Victoria scrapped the album (and music all together) after she got pregnant later that year.

Not Such An Innocent Girl was not a good 1st single.
She didn't chose the right singles from the album, even if it was a nice album.
